certified, and have dreamed of living in Southern California, we should talk.Responsibilities
Carry out electrical testing and commissioning across a range of power systems, including transformers, circuit breakers, protective relays, switchgears, and other electrical devices.Oversee and commission power distribution equipment, such as power transformers, circuit breakers, high voltage (HV) switches, HV/MV/LV cables, and instrument transformers.Execute field testing, verification, and programming of various low voltage trip units from manufacturers like GE, Eaton, Schneider, Siemens, and ABB.Analyze and understand electrical AC & DC schematics, AC three-line, logic diagrams, and single-line diagrams (SLDs).Be well-versed in industry codes and standards (OESC, IEEE, NETA).Be willing and able to travel for out-of-town commissioning or maintenance projects.Collaborate with the Branch Manager on sales efforts, including repeat business, quotations, and customer contact.Preferred Skills and Expertise
Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or significant testing experienceMinimum of 5 years' experience with high voltage testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioningAvailability to provide emergency services to the company's customers on short noticeAvailability to provide scheduled 'on-call' services on a rotation basisCapability to work in industrial and outdoor substation environments while adhering to health and safety standards and regulationsAbility to travel within Texas and potentially other states for projects
