Job SummaryThe primary function of this position is to carry out supervised direct environmental support services for an operational site or an organization. Business support services may include regulatory review and interpretation, technical calculations and estimations, project/program management, regulatory permit applications, and plan, proposal and/or program development. Specific positions may specialize in one or more functional areas, including air, water, waste, energy conservation, environmental permitting and research, social aspects, emergency and spill response and remediation, Sustainable Development, biodiversity etc.

You will receive diversified training through on-the-job assignments using the technical skills you have acquired in college. The training will be designed to help develop you technically and professionally and will involve personal interaction with both professional and technical employees. Ample opportunity is provided for the development of leadership skills. New employees have the opportunity to participate in ConocoPhillips' training for new hires and will participate in Individual Development Planning.

Depending on the assignment, your responsibilities may involve some travel or possibly temporary assignments at various ConocoPhillips or contractor locations around the world. Individuals must be willing to travel and/or relocate. Your initial assignment may be within Upstream HSE with locations across the United States including Anchorage, Alaska, Carlsbad New Mexico, Midland, or Kenedy Texas.

Job DescriptionResponsibilities may include:Completing permit applications, preparing technical documentation, consulting with agencies and contractors, and training and support for operations/field personnel in regulatory and policy complianceCalculating and estimating emissions, water use and discharge, waste disposal, energy demands, field work and environmental impact assessmentAssisting in the development and production of plans, programs and procedures guiding regulatory and permit compliance, proper and safety operations, and prevention of undesired consequencesPreparing and submitting internal and external reports and related documentation, including formal presentations to large and small groupsInterfacing and coordinating information between internal/external entities, with varying perspectives and interestsEvaluating hazards, exposures, and general impacts associated with operation or process equipment, facilities and projectsCompleting technical documentation, consulting with agencies/contractors, and training and support for operations/field personnel in regulatory/policy complianceParticipating in emergency planning and response activities

Basic/Required:Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer and/or education institutionBachelor's degree or higher in Chemical, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Health & Safety or related technical field or foreign equivalentLevel of college: Senior or Graduate StudentExpected graduation date: Fall 2024 through Spring/Fall 2025
