Environmental Engineer in DC-MD-VA area, Job 1729This is a FULL-TIME position as an employee of our Industrial Services client and REQUIRES commuting to the DC-MD-VA area. This position CANNOT be worked remotely; HOWEVER, relocation assistance within the US is available.This is just

The incumbent will be responsible for the management and overall direction and oversight of Environmental programs, strategy, and staff activities along with related organizational performance standards to support the facility.Minimum Requirements:
All potential candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; employer sponsorship is unavailable.Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College / University in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Industrial Management or a related discipline.Five (5) or more years of Environmental management experience.Demonstrated success managing multi-media environmental programs.Demonstrated knowledge of various permitting and waste system program design.Willing and able to travel 25-50%.Additional Preferred (not required) Competencies:
Professional Certification (REM, CEM, CEP, CPEA, EIT etc.) from a nationally recognized organization.Major Responsibilities:
Partner with various plant and operations leadership and serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) regarding interpretation of federal, state and local Environmental regulations.Design, develop and implement local Environmental goals and strategies.Maintains and manages departmental budget.Oversees preconstruction plans.The information listed above summarizes the position and is not a complete job description.
