Teacher Assistants - Grades 1 & 2

The Washington Waldorf School, located in Bethesda, Maryland, is seeking Teaching Assistants to support our teachers in grades 1 and 2, beginning with the 2024-2025 school year.This is a part-time hourly position for approximately 18-21 hours per week, generally, Monday-Friday mornings.Attendance at weekly department meetings (Tuesday afternoon) as well as meeting with the class teacher will be required.Primary responsibilities include:·Ability to follow directions from the Class Teacher.Minimum Qualifications:·Bachelor’s degree.·Familiarity or strong interest in Waldorf education is preferred.·Ability to pass a Maryland Background check.We seek assistants who are enthusiastic, energetic, flexible and patient with a desire to grow as a teacher.Washington Waldorf is committed to building a more diverse and inclusive workforce, and we welcome applications from all interested individuals.To apply please email a letter of interest and resume to employment@washingtonwaldorf.org or attn.
