Job Description SummaryThe James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine, Medical University of South Carolina is seeking applications for a full-time Endodontist in the Department of Biomedical and Community Health Sciences, Division of Emergency Services. The Division provides classroom and clinical instruction for pre-doctoral dental students and Post-Graduate Endodontics Students in all areas of endodontics and urgent care. The Division Chief provides supervision to all faculty and staff in these three clinical areas, management of clinical revenue, oversight of clinical and didactic educational offerings, and provides strategic direction to the Division. When necessary, the Division Chief provides leadership for the recruitment of faculty and staff. The position reports directly to the Chair for the Department of Biomedical and Community Health Sciences. Currently, the position provides supervision to full-time faculty and staff, and oversees the Endodontic Residency program and Predoctoral clinics.Qualified candidates must hold a DDS or DMD degree, have graduated preferably from a CODA Accredited Endodontic Residency program with preference going to board eligible or certified individuals. Experience in educational innovation, use of technology in education, and computer skills are expected with preference given to those with previous teaching and research experience. Successful applicants should have a South Carolina Dental License or qualify for a teaching license. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience. Participation in the Dental Faculty Practice for private patient care is expected.
