Medical Oncology (Assist/Assoc/Professor)Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey seeks applications from experienced academically oriented medical oncologists with interests in

GI, neuro, head/neck or thoracic oncology.

Candidates with focused interest in building a clinical practice on a multidisciplinary team. Academic appointment will be in the Department of Medicine, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, the state’s only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center located in New Brunswick, NJ, and RWJBarnabas Health, the state’s largest health care delivery system, partner to deliver high-quality and sophisticated oncology care to patients close to home. This integrated cancer care model combines the strength of both entities, offering access to the most advanced diagnostic and treatment options for adult and pediatric cancer patients, including clinical trials, immunotherapy, proton therapy, precision medicine, CAR T-cell therapy and cardio-oncology.

Unique opportunities exist for collaborations between clinical and research programs, including clinical trials research, cancer chemoprevention, clinical and basic pharmacology, and Phase 1 clinical trials. Faculty will have the exciting opportunity to be involved in teaching activities for medical students and residents as well as targeted lectures in their area of expertise.

Minimum Requirements:

MD or DO required

Must have active or be eligible for NJ Medical License

ABIM board certification; Medical Oncology eligible/certified

3-yr fellowship required

Initiatives/projects focused in supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion preferred.
