Position Summary:
Full-time, tenure track faculty member in the MS Occupational Therapy Program in the College of Nursing & Health Sciences.
Responsibilities:
Model the University Mission through dedicated job performance and service excellence.
Teach courses in areas of documented expertise, as required by the program (Mental Health, CHT, Pediatrics).
Maintain expertise by participating in scholarship as defined by ACOTE.
Participate in program evaluation.
Attend departmental meetings, graduation ceremonies, and other college meetings or events, as required.
Foster an educational environment that is supportive of the Lasallian Mission.
Act as a Preceptor for Level I Fieldwork.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director of the MSOT program.
Minimum Qualifications:
An earned doctorate (OTD, DrOT, EdD, PhD) from an accredited institution.
Minimum of three years documented clinical practice as an occupational therapist.
Knowledge of current occupational therapy practice.
Current and valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation.
Superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as an occupational therapist in the State of Illinois and have initial NBCOT certification.
Proficient with computer technology and possess strong organization skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Evidence of teaching and/or curriculum development experience and effectiveness.
