NoEssential Job Functions:Plans, evaluates, and revises curricula, course/block content, course/block materials, and methods of instruction.Prepares course/block materials, such as syllabi, homework assignments, test questions, and handouts.Prepares materials for laboratory activities.Compiles bibliographies of specialized materials for outside reading assignments.Initiates, facilitates, and moderates PBL and TBL discussions.Assists students who need extra help with their coursework outside of class.Maintains student attendance records, grades, and other required records.Evaluates and grades students' class work, laboratory and clinic work, assignments, and papers.Compiles, administers, and grades examinations.Maintains regularly scheduled office hours to advise and assist students.Advises students on academic and vocational curricula and on career issues.Assesses medical student needs using a variety of methods.Collaborates with colleagues to address teaching and research issues.Serves on academic or administrative committees.Participates in student recruitment, registration, and placement activities.Participates in campus and community events.Conducts research and publishes findings.Reviews papers for publication in journals.Supervises undergraduate or graduate teaching, internship, and research work.Mentors students and junior faculty members.Keeps abreast of developments in the field.Performs other duties as assigned or required.Job Requirements:For Assistant Professor rank: Doctoral or terminal degree. College-level teaching experience.For Associate Professor rank: Continued professional growth and success in full-time university teaching for four (4) years at the rank of Assistant Professor; scholarly contributions to the university, higher education, or one's academic area(s) of specialization that have received peer recognition.For Professor rank: Continued professional growth and success in full-time university teaching for five (5) years at the rank of Associate Professor; significant scholarly contributions to the university, higher education, or one's academic area(s) of specialization recognized as substantial by peers.Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Comprehensive knowledge of medicine, biology, education & training, English language, psychology, customer & personal service, therapy & counseling, sociology & anthropology, mathematics, and administration & management.Advanced skills in communication, teaching, understanding written documents, and selecting appropriate instructional methods.Ability to communicate and understand information effectively.Required Education:

Terminal Degree (Highest degree in field of study)Required Experience:

Previous college level teaching experience.Preferred Qualifications:
