Faculty (Rank TBD) / OMFS - 995719Essential Job Functions:TeachingProvides high quality instruction in field of expertise, ensuring students meet course outcomes.Plans, evaluates, and revises curricula, course content, course materials, and methods of instruction.Selects and obtains materials and supplies, such as textbooks and laboratory equipment.Prepares course materials, such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.Identifies specialized materials for outside reading assignments.Initiates, facilitates, and moderates classroom discussions.Supervises laboratory sessions.Assists students who need extra help with their coursework outside of class.Maintains student attendance records, grades, and other required records.Evaluates and grades students' class work, laboratory and clinic work, assignments, and/or papers.Maintains regularly scheduled office hours to advise and assist students.Advises students on academic and vocational curricula and on career issues.Acts as advisor to student organizations, ensuring adherence to college and university policies and procedures.Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Knowledge:Comprehensive knowledge of the information and techniques needed in Dental Medicine.Skills:Instructing, Critical Thinking, Judgment/Decision Making, Active Listening, Active Learning, Complex Problem Solving, Speaking, Learning Strategies.Abilities:Finger Dexterity, Extent Flexibility, Manual Dexterity, Problem Sensitivity, Deductive Reasoning, Inductive Reasoning, Speech Clarity, Fluency of Ideas, Oral Expression.Required Certifications/Licensures:

Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from CODA accredited institution.Required Education:

DDS/DMD or foreign equivalent dentistry degree.Required Experience:

Advanced training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at an accredited institution. Board certified / eligible by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Professional doctoral-level teaching experience.Preferred Qualifications:

Fellowship training in Head and Neck Oncology/Microvascular Reconstruction.Is this a safety sensitive position?
