Department of Environmental Studies and Sciences, full-time, tenure-line Assistant Professor position; begins Fall 2025.Responsibilities:

The University of Puget Sound's Environmental Studies and Sciences Department invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in Earth Sciences, with a focus on the hydrologic sciences. Expertise in geospatial analysis (GIS) is required. As part of the interdisciplinary curriculum for a new Earth and Environmental Science (EES) major, the successful applicant will teach introductory undergraduate courses in Earth Sciences and GIS, and upper-level undergraduate courses such as environmental geoscience, hydrology, Earth surface processes, and advanced geospatial analysis. A commitment to excellence in teaching, creating an inclusive learning environment, and establishing a vigorous research program involving undergraduates is essential.Qualifications:

PhD in Earth and/or Environmental Science or related field (ABD considered); commitment to liberal arts teaching and to mentoring undergraduate research.Application Deadline:
