Overall responsibility for academic success through support services for Men’s Basketball/Track student-athletes at a NCAA Division I institution.
Job Duties
The Senior Director Student-Athlete Academic Services will be working with and responsible for the academic progress, scheduling, and monitoring for a caseload of student-athletes, particularly focusing on Men’s Basketball/Track.
The Senior Director Student-Athlete Academic Services is responsible for scheduling and monitoring student-athletes’ study hall.
This position will teach one section of Foundations 101 for student-athletes.
The Senior Director Student-Athlete Academic Services will be responsible for hiring GA(s).
This position will also be the primary advisor for undeclared student-athletes within the assigned caseload and other duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance and Academics.
Work with various coaches and staff across campus to ensure student-athlete academic success.
Additional duties as assigned/needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and at least two years of experience working in elementary, secondary or post-secondary academics as a student, graduate assistant, or full-time employee.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in education, counseling, sport management, college student personnel, or a related field. Five or more years of experience working in athletic academic support services.
