ProSidian Seeks a Hazardous Materials/ Waste Specialist | Environmental Management [USACE025030] - DPLH Est.: 2080 Hrs. ST | 0 Hrs. OT on a Exempt Contract Contingent Basis Engagement Team | Environmental Specialist Level III Labor Category - STD Level Exempt Professional aligned under services related to NAICS: 541620 located CONUS - Ten (10) States: Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming Across The Mid West Region supporting a federal agency within the Dept of Defense.
Seeking Hazardous Materials/ Waste Specialist candidates with relevant Environmental Management Sector Experience to support professional services engagement for Environmental Management Sector Clients such as USACE. This as a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Position and ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position.
JOB OVERVIEW
Provide services and support as a Hazardous Materials/ Waste Specialist in the Environmental Management Industry Sector focusing on Environmental Services Solutions for clients such as Department of Defense (DoD - USACE).
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Manage hazardous materials and waste; ensure compliance with regulations; oversee waste disposal processes. The Hazardous Materials Waste Specialist shall be responsible for the management of hazardous materials and hazardous wastes. The Hazardous Materials/Waste Specialist should have appropriate education and experience in HAZMAT and HAZWASTE management services to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
Desired Qualifications For Hazardous Materials/ Waste Specialist Candidates:
Expertise in hazardous materials management; knowledge of environmental regulations (e.g., RCRA, CERCLA).
Possess a bachelor’s degree in an environmental, physical, or natural science or in engineering and three (3) years specialized experience in the management of hazardous materials/waste.
Must possess a current Certified Hazardous Materials Manager certification and/or a Hazardous Waste Manifest/DOT certification.
Education / Experience Requirements:
5+ years in hazardous materials management; certifications such as HAZWOPER required. | Bachelor's in Environmental Science, Chemistry.
Skills Required:
Hazardous materials handling, regulatory compliance, safety procedures, problem-solving.
Professional Licensure: HAZWOPER, other relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Hazardous Materials Manager).
Competencies Required:
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Products.
Other Requirements:
Understanding and proficiency with business tools and technology, including Microsoft Office.
Commitment to work with diverse teams to solve challenges.
Curiosity and willingness to learn and grow.
