About This Opportunity JOBTITLE: Senior Food Scientist POSITION TYPE: Full time CLASSIFICATION:Exempt Position Overview The Senior Scientist at Foremost Farms plays akey role in guiding product development for natural cheese and dairyproducts from conceptualization to commercial launch.They activelycontribute to the organization\'s success by employing theirproblem-solving skills and scientific expertise to tackleproject-specific technical challenges across processing, production, andlaboratory settings. The successful Senior Scientist will have aninnovative mindset, leveraging creative problem-solving skills and\'outside the box\' thinking, experiment with new ideas and technologiesand find unique approaches to solving challenges in the food industry.Key Accountabilities Cross-functional project support: Collaborate withcross-functional teams, including Sales, R&D, Continuous Improvement,Operations, Production Staff, and Quality Assurance, to coordinateproduct development activities, address technical challenges, andachieve project goals. Proactively communicate results, conclusions, andrecommendations with key stakeholders Maintain detailed records ofresearch activities, experimental procedures, and test results, andprepare technical reports, specifications, and other documentation.Product Development: Develop new food products in the cheese and dairyspace or improve existing ones by conducting research, creatingformulations, and optimizing processing and production methods to meetconsumer preferences and market demands. Prioritize food safety andquality at every stage of the product development process. Product andProcess Technical Support: Optimize manufacturing processes to improveefficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality, consistency, andsafety. Provide technical support to customers, suppliers, and otherstakeholders by addressing inquiries, resolving technical issues, andsharing expertise on product formulation, processing, and qualityassurance. Ingredient Evaluation: Evaluate the quality, functionality,and suitability of raw materials and ingredients for use in foodproduction, ensuring they meet regulatory...
