Position Summary
The Department of Statistics at Colorado State University (CSU) invites applications for one tenure-track Assistant Professor position. The department is looking to grow its expertise in the development of cutting-edge statistical methodology and theory, data science, computation, and high-dimensional statistics. However, the focus of the search is broad and we welcome excellent candidates in all areas of Statistics.
Duties will commence August 2025. A doctoral degree in statistics or a closely related field is a minimum requirement. A commitment to high-quality research in statistics and excellence in teaching is expected.

Demonstrated commitment to high-quality research in statistics.
Demonstrated excellence in teaching and mentoring.
Demonstrated expertise in the development of cutting-edge statistical methodology and theory, including but not limited to areas such as data science, computation, and high-dimensional statistics.

Essential Duties
Teaching and Advising
Provide intellectual leadership and excellence in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.
Advise PhD students in Statistics.
Research
Conduct nationally and internationally recognized research in statistics.
Publish in top statistics journals.
Submit proposals for external funding, receive awards, and provide required reports on all funded awards.
Disseminate research outcomes through participation in conferences and meetings.
Service
Serve on department, college, and university-level committees.
Serve the academic community through membership on editorial boards of respected journals.
Contribute to university outreach where appropriate.
