Primary Responsibilities of a Stratford Sports Coach:The responsibilities of the Sports coach will consist of some or all of the following:Commitment to the well-being of athletes and quality coaching.Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Manage equipment, uniforms, and facilities.Supervise student-athletes at all times, including away games and after practice.Coordinate transport to various locations for practices.

The ideal candidate:The ideal coaching candidate will have the following:Experience coaching at the high school or college level.A high school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree encouraged).Prior playing or coaching experience in the sport you seek to coach.Strong knowledge of your sport, including training and conditioning techniques.An up-to-date CPR/AED Certification (we can assist with certification).

Skills and Attributes:The ideal coach will be able to:Coach athletes of different ages and skill levels.Communicate effectively.Utilize technology to support athlete development.Establish and maintain positive relationships with faculty, staff, students, and parents.

Coaches will have the opportunity to grow through professional development opportunities and internal training as founding members of Stratford Athletics. Coaches can create preseason plans, schedule games, and assist with post-season training. Coaches are expected to practice during the season between 4:00-6:00 PM three to five days per week.

Coaches will be paid hourly based on experience, certifications, and education. Pay Range: $25-45 per hour.
