Position SummaryThe University of Alabama School of Law seeks qualified applicants for the position of Associate Dean for Legal Information Services. The successful candidate will direct all operations of the Bounds Law Library, oversee all library functions and staff, and hold a faculty appointment with tenure, on the tenure track, or with security of position, depending on qualifications. The successful candidate will also teach legal research courses, with the possibility of teaching additional substantive doctrinal courses.

Minimum QualificationsDistinguished academic credentials, including a J.D. from an accredited law school or an equivalent degree (such as a Ph.D. in a related field), a degree in library or information science, substantial experience working in a law library setting, and outstanding legal research ability.

Preferred QualificationsPreference will be given to candidates with leadership and teaching experience.
