Provide timely, accurate and relevant EHSQ advice and leadership including Training, Site Assessments, Accident and Incident Investigation, review of and assistance in applying Global EHS Policies and Procedures.Lead and coordinate direct field support on a broad array of activities specific to Environmental, Health, Safety and Driver Safety and ensure employee/business compliance and consistent adherence to corporate policies and standards as well as all applicable local regulations.Ensure that the EHSQ training programs are fully implemented throughout the various functions within the organizations to ensure regulatory compliance, lower accident and injury rates, and improved operational efficiency.Develop customized risk assessments necessitated by high-risk activity or by deviation from established base policy, working with Global and Regional Teams.Review current EHSQ processes and implement initiatives to address observed trends in incident or other safety data and lead their implementation.Provide direct support during planned or unplanned regulatory inspections (e.g., Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and Global or external EHSQ audits (including critical system audits).Ensure full compliance with applicable environmental and worker safety regulations by establishing the vital procedures, training, verification, measurement systems, and reports as required to prove compliance - Drive towards Zero.Represent Air Products on relevant local and regional external bodies and regulatory groups and maintain up-to-date knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety practices and issues.Assess and develop a regional and local Risk Management Plan as per operations size and business setup.Lead Incident Investigation and facilitation for all sites and locations in the region & collect, verify, and report sustainability metrics.Establish EHSQ methodologies & practices to be used in implementing facility outages and/or repair projects to ensure safety planning and safety execution are in line with our goal of zero injuries.Support, as needed, EHSQ due diligence activities in support of successful acquisitions and the development and implementation of robust EHSQ integration plans.Coach and support leadership team, site leaders and operations on EHSQ issues, concerns, and questions.Develop and implement efficiency strategies to meet the company's long-term profitability objectives.Develop the vision, prioritization, and roadmap for EHSQ initiatives within the Sub-Region and in alignment with the line & business.Implement and drive consistent processes and important metric reporting across the Sub-Regions.Travel up to 50% within North Subregion.Qualifications/Requirements

Engineering, occupational health and safety or other technical undergraduate degree (Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical). An advanced degree is helpful.A qualification in EHSQ or equivalent experience (CSP, ASP, SMS, etc.).Minimum 7 years of multi-layered field safety & EHSQ Management experience in a sophisticated petrochemical, refinery, industrial gas or related facility. Prior operational & plant management experience is a plus.Proven understanding of legislation/regulation and compliance strategies (OSHA, EPA, DOT) including knowledge of the elements of process safety management.Good understanding of EHSQ monitoring programs such as leak detection and repair (LDAR), source emission testing, CEMS, COMS, PEMS, industrial hygiene monitoring, noise monitoring, ambient air quality monitoring, including the technologies employed and the analytical methods used to produce credible quality results.Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, customer relations and problem-solving/analytical skills are a prerequisite.Proven track record to work in a matrix organization, across functions and reporting relationships.Excellent communication and influencing skills are a major requirement for the job holder.Must have a hands-on and proactive approach with clear accountability in steering the sub-regional EHSQ team members, processes, and strategy.Must possess critical thinking skills and the ability to build trust and confidence with frontline workers, supervisors, and management.Confident, bold with a self-motivated approach and flexible attitude. Has the ability to overcome obstacles to solve problems & achieve results. Can cope with pressure and work to tight deadlines.A personal dedication to continuous self-development and flexibility to work outside normal working hours to meet commitments.
