This is a part-time, non-tenure-track position offering an opportunity to contribute to the intellectual development of future legal professionals.Adjunct faculty are part-time positions, normally appointed for one semester at a time, and teach one or two courses in an academic year. Teaching associates teach or co-teach courses in the law school’s Academic Achievement Program, including JD401 Expert Learning, and three bar preparation courses: LAW 531 Bar Essay Writing, LAW 532 Writing for the Practice of Law, and LAW 530 Legal Fundamentals Review and Test Taking Skills.Courses are taught online or in person at our downtown Chicago campus, during the day or evening. Teaching associates are required to participate in orientation and training sessions and comply with academic and institutional policies.Duties & ResponsibilitiesTeach or co-teach in the Law School’s Academic Achievement Program, including JD 401 Expert Learning and bar preparation courses.Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school or its equivalent from a foreign country.Admission to the Illinois bar or that of another state.A record of or potential for excellent teaching, and experience with or willingness to learn the Blackboard learning management system.Candidates must be in good standing with any bar to which they have been admitted.For fullest consideration, apply online at https://jobs.uic.edu by the listed closing date.
