Position Summary:

We are seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our team and drive innovative GenAI initiatives focused on solving complex financial challenges in the retail industry. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in transfer learning and deep learning methodologies to develop and deploy cutting-edge GenAI systems. What you'll do:

Design and implement GenAI solutions to address intricate financial challenges in retail.

Develop and optimize data science models tailored for the retail and e-commerce sectors.

Deploy and maintain trained machine learning models in cloud environments, ensuring they deliver value to the business and customers.

Collaborate closely with business teams to identify opportunities and translate requirements into innovative technical solutions.

Lead the design and development of generative AI solutions, utilizing established techniques and creating custom algorithms when necessary.

Work closely with engineers and platform architects to integrate and deploy robust ML applications and systems.

Stay at the forefront of data science and machine learning advancements by continuously exploring and evaluating new technologies and methodologies.

Conduct advanced analyses to provide recommendations on the applicability and efficiency of product features.

What you’ll bring:

Extensive experience in data science, machine learning, or optimization models.

Proficiency in working with Large Language Models (LLMs), GenAI, and tools like OpenAI packages and LangChain framework.

Strong programming skills in Python, Spark, Scala, or R, with hands-on experience using open-source frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.

Deep understanding of AI/ML/DL, statistics, and the ability to code efficiently using relevant open-source libraries and frameworks.

Advanced knowledge of SQL and programming languages such as Python, PySpark, and/or Scala.

Strong knowledge of retail and one or more business practices across domains such as product, finance, marketing, technology, and business systems.

Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.

Expertise in solving optimization problems using integer programming.

Ability to deconstruct abstract problems, formulate hypotheses, and conduct detailed analyses.

Experience navigating ambiguity and building rapid business cases/prototypes.

Hands-on experience with analytics and reporting tools such as Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery), Microsoft Power BI, and Microsoft Excel.

Minimum Qualifications:

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years' experience in an analytics or related field.

Option 2: Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.

Option 3: 4 years' experience in an analytics or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Data science, machine learning, optimization models, Master’s degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics, Successful completion of one or more assessments in Python, Spark, Scala, or R, Using open source frameworks (for example, scikit learn, tensorflow, torch).
