Metrology Specialist
to support our customers within the Strategic Microelectronics Division at Naval Surface Warfare Center - Crane.This role will support the Strategic Microelectronics Division through development of Test Measurement, Diagnostic, Equipment (TMDE) support documents, equipment evaluation based on testing requirements, review of 3rd party (non-governmental) calibrations and certifications. Success in this position will require the ability to take new and existing TMDE through the necessary processes of the Navy METCAL System to ensure equipment support.Note from Hiring Manager: I would encourage you to apply even if you don’t have a background in all essential job functions. Skills can be taught via training and from other individuals on the team. The work we complete for our customer is unique. What we seek is an engineer with a strong work ethic, desire to learn, good communication skills, and a willingness to remain dynamic.Required Qualifications:The ability to calculate Test Accuracy Ratios applicable to testing parameters and calculate Test Uncertainty RatioCommunicate with a wide audience, both technical and non-technicalAssist in the development of processes and change controls for new and existing equipmentHave experience with Calibrated Equipment measuring capacitance, impedance resistance, and other electrical parameters.Have experience with calibration certifications system, including ISO 17025 and ANSI Z540Hold an Associates or higher-level degree in Electronics Technology, or a similar engineering fieldAbility to pass and maintain a Security Clearance (Please Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance)4+ years of metrology experience, including experience working with equipment that measures capacitance, impedance resistance, and other electrical parameters.Preferred QualificationExperience in microelectronics testing/evaluation within the realms: Digital and Analog Radio Frequency, Magnetics, Shock and Vibration testing, and High Current/High Voltage testing.Experience developing Calibration and Measurement Requirements SummaryAmentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
