Assistant Dean of StudentsRasmussen UniversityHybrid/Twin Cities Office - Bloomington MNThe vision for the Office of Student Affairs is to serve the co-curricular development of Rasmussen students in a way that enhances their student experience and increases their capacity as leaders, community members, and professionals. This office is responsible for activities related to student conduct, disability services, academic integrity, Title IX investigations, and student support services under the direction of the Assistant Vice President & Dean of Students in the Office of Student Affairs. The Assistant Dean of Students supports the Office of Students Affairs by assisting with all activities related to student development and student support while promoting the vision and mission of the University. Under the supervision of the Assistant Vice President and Dean of Students, the Assistant Dean of Students will assist in providing programming and training designed to increase students', faculty members', and administrators' knowledge of community expectations around academic integrity and conduct. The Assistant Dean of Students will also support the effectiveness of the office by responding to escalated student appeals and grievances, consulting around policies and procedures, and ensuring Title IX compliance and sufficient support and services for students with disabilities.Responsibilities:

Supports the goal and strategic plan for the Office of Student AffairsEducates the university community about the operations of the Office of Student AffairsEngages in activities that promote respect for students, faculty, and staffFacilitates student support and development programs and services that reflect the university missionEffectively responds to student support needs related to disability services, academic integrity, grade appeals, ombuds services, and Title IXProvides leadership and oversees the application of the American with Disabilities ActFacilitates resolutions to student concerns, grade appeals, and conduct concerns in a timely fashionMaintains accurate recordsEffectively collaborates with legal and academic partnersWorks with the Vice President and Dean of Students to develop the strategy for the Office of Student AffairsRequirements:

Demonstrated commitment to student successDemonstrated understanding of factors related to retention and success for adult studentsDemonstrated understanding of the American with Disabilities Act and Title IXDemonstrated effectiveness in advocating on behalf of students, faculty, and staffDemonstrated problem-solving and organizational skillsDemonstrated experience working across units and strong knowledge of the programs and services represented within the UniversityAt least three years' experience in higher educationEvidence of effective, transparent communication; the ability to listen to and respect diverse perspectivesMaster's degree or higher preferredAbout Us:
