We are seeking to hire a casual
Senior Research Assistant
(25 hours/week) to assist with genomic analyses related to tuberculosis contact investigation in South Africa.Specific Duties & ResponsibilitiesUse of bioinformatic pipeline to process genomic data.Performance of analyses related to transmission and clustering.Creation of tables and figures to summarize data.Writing of manuscripts and delivery of oral presentations to disseminate results.Management of genomic data (M. tuberculosis genomes).Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in related discipline.Two years of related experience.Additional graduate level education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.Preferred QualificationsMPH or MS in relevant field preferred.Experience in laboratory or computational science.Ability to code in R.Classified Title: Sr. Research AssistantJob Posting Title (Working Title): Senior Research AssistantRole/Level/Range: ACRP/03/MBStarting Salary Range: $19.85 - $34.75 HRLY (Commensurate with experience)Employee group: Casual / On CallSchedule: Hours VaryExempt Status: ExemptLocation: Hybrid: On-site 1-2 days a weekDepartment name: 10001101-EpidemiologyPersonnel area: School of Public Health
