Hospital Specifics- Requested Skill Set: Must have: Active RN license. ICU experience. Advanced skills needed Procedures performed on unit: Insertion of central lines, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, EVD insertions. Dress Code: Navy scrubs, tops and bottoms Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please attach unit specific policies and guidelines. Schedule is done in 4 week increments. Self-scheduling to an extent. Manager will move shifts to balance out schedule. Unit Specific Information Number of Beds: 31 Patient Ratios: 2:1, sometimes 1:1 or 3:1 depending on acuity/staffing Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): unit secretary staffed during dayshift. Occasional nurse extern working as a tech. Type of equipment: Ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, EV 1000. Documentation system: Meditech Floating policy: Contract labor is first to float. If the staffing need is in med/surg, contract labor is expected to float to med/surg and take the assignment.
