Hospital Specifics- Requested Skill Set: Must have: Active RN license. ICU experience. Advanced skills needed Procedures performed on unit: Insertion of central lines, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, EVD insertions. Dress Code: Navy scrubs, tops and bottoms Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please attach unit specific policies and guidelines. Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their assignment: Consider items such as new equipment or technology, tenure and experience of staff, schedule options, etc. Job Requirements Active RN license ACLS BLS ICU experience Schedule Information Minimum weekend requirement is 4 weekend shifts per schedule. Schedule is done in 4 week increments. Self-scheduling to an extent. Manager will move shifts to balance out schedule. Unit Specific Information Number of Beds: 31 Patient Ratios: 2:1, sometimes 1:1 or 3:1 depending on acuity/staffing Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): unit secretary staffed during dayshift. Occasional nurse extern working as a tech. Type of equipment: Ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, EV 1000. Documentation system: Meditech Floating policy: Contract labor is first to float. If the staffing need is in med/surg, contract labor is expected to float to med/surg and take the assignment.
