Made in the USA and Sweeden, 75 years of experience!Our company prides itself on not having layoffs, enhancing our company benefits, continuing to grow as a company and having opportunities for advancement.Cibes|Symmetry is currently recruiting for Welder at our Peoria, IL Facility.This is a 1st shift position: 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays for a few hours depending on our workload.JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Welder creates product by welding metal parts using a variety of processes. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' experience in welding and demonstrate a high quality of workmanship. This person must be able to show timeliness, quality results, and be dependable.Structural experience strongly desired.Candidates should also have the following:Reads and interprets specifications or work orders to determine unit or piece(s) to be weldedSelects and sets up welding equipmentRolls, lifts or maneuvers pieces onto and off of work tableLays out, positions, and utilizes fixtures to secure metal pieces then assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, or tape measureBonds metals using mig or tig welding machinesFinishes workpiece, using welding machines or electric grindersObserves tests on welded surfaces, such as hydrostatic and dimension tolerance to evaluate weld quality and conformance to specificationsTroubleshoots and reworks pieces that fail testsPerforms all work in accordance with established standards and safety proceduresMaintains a clean, safe work area free of foreign materialsHigh school diploma, GED or equivalent requiredPay Depending On ExperienceAll candidates must pass a drug screen and necessary tests for position.EOE/ADA/M-F/V/D
