Required Certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only Preferred Certifications: CGRN certification recommended within 2 years after hire date, but not required Years of Experience: 1 year Endo Float Requirements: Outpatient Endoscopy and Hospital Endoscopy locations on same campus Schedule Information Shift: Days, 5x8, hours may vary during the time frame 07:00-19:00 Weekend Hours: As required by facility, 6 week schedule periods Call Requirements: 4-7 call days per schedule 2 of which are over 1 weekend. Unit Specific Information Number of Beds: up to 9 procedure rooms with 36 pre/post bays/beds Patient Ratios: 1:1 to 1:2 Equipment: Olympus Scopes, ERBE EMR: EPIC, Provation Hiring Profile: Must Have Skills/Experience: Procedure room documentation, procedure room tools and turnover, admit, recover. Preferred Skillset/Experience: Conscious sedation, PACU, Gastroenterology experience preferred, one year of hospital nursing experience (med-surg, ICU or ED). Type of Patients on Unit: Inpatient and Outpatient Personality Fit: Fast-paced, teamwork driven. Dress Code: Scrub Color: Black or provided surgical scrubs Any unacceptable attire: anything other than above scrubs Additional Details Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the goals of Mercy Hospital Springfield, the Philosophy of the Susan B. Anthony Nurse Practice Act, the Code of Professional and Business Ethics and the Employee Code of Conduct. Performs related duties as assigned.
