The right candidate will have 2 years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC. Job Requirements Must have 2 years of experience Hold an active BLS, ACLS, PALS Active AZ license or compact Must have 1 year of trauma level 1 experience; will screen 8 months Must have Cerner experience No first time travelers DAY 1 PASS FAIL EXAM: STUDY GUIDE PROVIDED WITH FDI PASS FAIL SIMs Lab: All RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes Schedule Information Shifts: 7a-7p, 7p-7a, 11a-11p, 1p-1a Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per month, at unit discretion 12 hour nights, 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, 2 out of 3 major holidays Unit Specific Information Unit: ED / Trauma beds: Acute - 36 and Subacute - 54. Trauma bays - 6 (no travelers) Ratios: 1:4 ratio EMR: Cerner Charge Nurse: 2 Charge RNs - will task or have light patient load Nurse Aides: 4-PCTs for sitters Scrub Color: Navy Tele: Phillips monitors, must be able to read strips Vents: Managed by RT Hospitalist or Intensivists in house: Minimum of 2 MDs or as many as 8.
