Travel Nurse RN - Telemetry - $1,894 per week

Certification Details Need MedSurg/Tele RN and Psych experience preferred. Certs: BLS, ACLS The right candidate must hold an active BLS, ACLS and AZ license or compact. Job Details A large hospital in Arizona is looking for RN's with MedSurg/Telemetry/Psych experience for a travel assignment on their Visual Medical unit. The right candidate will have two years of MedSurg/Tele experience and Psych experience. This is for travelers going to St. Joseph main campus and/or St. Joseph Westgate campus. We are a MedSurg/Tele Unit that specializes in patients with Mental illness. Psychiatric experience is preferred, but certainly not a requirement. I am much more interested in their MedSurg/Tele skills and whether or not the candidate has a desire to work with the mentally ill. LEVEL I TRAUMA EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. candidate is required to pass DYS exam PRIOR to accepting. 2 attempts. All RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes. SIMs lab is pass/fail & nurses have been termed during SIMs Lab for breaking sterile field. Schedule Information Charge Nurse: Charge, has patients. Nurse Aides: Behavior health techs, Security watches via video. Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend. Holidays: Work in perm staff rotation. Shifts: 12 hr shifts. 7-7. Floating: ED psych holds, possibly to MedSurg floors. Floor specific orientation: 2 shifts. Unit Specific Information Number of beds: 14 Ratios: 1:4 ratios Common diagnosis/Types of patients: Medical unit with secondary psych diagnosis. Confused patients, dementia, low cognitive ability Charge Nurse: Charge, has patients. Nurse Aides: Behavior health techs, Security watches via video. Scrub Color: Navy, and panic buttons Floating: ED psych holds, possibly to MedSurg floors. Additional Details Unit: VMU - Visual Medical Unit Certs: BLS, ACLS; Ratios: 1:4 ratios EMR: Cerner Scrub Color: Navy, and panic buttons Tele: Yes Vents: No Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Psych MD on unit.
