Engineer - Contract Analyst opportunity with a client located in the Birmingham, AL area. This contract, potential temp to hire hybrid remote role will be responsible to understand and interpret regulatory orders, agreements, and contractual language for this clients bulk electric transmission business. Position will work approximately 3 days per week in the downtown office location and 2 days working remotely from home.
Responsibilities:Work with Microsoft Power BI and-or Power Automate or related work-flow management toolsUnderstand and interpret regulatory orders, agreements, and contractual languageBuild effective relationships with peers and customers, as well as resolve customer issuesOther duties as requiredQualifications:
Bachelors degree required (Engineering or Business degrees preferred)Knowledge of bulk electric transmission contracts, federal and state regulations of electric utilities, power systems operations, transmission planning, wholesale marketing, and-or engineering economics is a plusAbility to understand and interpret regulatory orders, agreements, and contractual languageExperience working with Microsoft Power BI and/or Power Automate or related work-flow management toolsDemonstrated customer-focused mindset and ability to build effective relationships with peers and customers, as well as resolve customer issuesAbility to balance multiple assignments and responsibilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsQualifications:
