Zip's infrastructure is built on AWS and has been evolving since the company's inception. With the recent exponential growth of our business, it's crucial to revamp the cloud architecture for enhanced scalability and reliability. This role will be an early member of the Cloud Infrastructure pod, focused on driving the company’s cloud-native engineering strategy.You Will

Architect Zip’s cloud native AWS infrastructure for reliability, scalability, security, and efficiencyDevelop and manage EKS-based Kubernetes, utilizing tools such as ArgoCD, Flux, Helm charts, and TerraformLead and ship large technical projects with other engineers, such as transforming services into multi-cluster and multi-region architectureSupport Zip’s product engineering teams by abstracting infrastructure complexity through a managed services approachQualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field such as Physics or Mathematics5+ years of cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or SRE experience3+ years of expertise with AWS and KubernetesExperience managing CI/CD, such as Github Actions, Jenkins, and ArgoCDExperience in designing, implementing, and scaling multi-cluster, multi-region, and multi-account infrastructureUnderstanding of networking in AWS & Kubernetes including service meshes, load balancing, and VPCsFamiliarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), such as Terraform, Helm, or KustomizeProficiency in modern development practices, systems engineering principles, and scriptingDemonstrated ability and eagerness to quickly learn new frameworks, architectural patterns, and programming languages as neededNice to Haves

Prior experience working in a B2B SaaS fintech companyFamiliarity with compliance standards, such as SOC 2 and GDPRThe salary range for this role is $160,000 - $220,000.
