Posted Friday, October 4, 2024 at 4:00 AMThe Director of Human Resources will be responsible for HR business partnering, workforce strategy, organization effectiveness and employee relations for corporate and non-union property employees. We are looking for an experienced Director to support 5,500+ employees in approximately 37 states. The ideal candidate is driven, goal oriented and motivated to implement changes and define structure to support the business.Duties and Responsibilities:Collaborates with the business to plan, implement, and evaluate employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.Drives employee relations strategy, leads end-to-end employee relations matters including investigations, documentation and disciplinary action.Provide high-quality support in employee relations such as performance coaching, managing separations, and advising on complex HR matters.Identify and develop updates and improvements to our onboarding and new hire training processes.Partner with MCR leadership to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals and priorities.Works closely with leadership to provide coaching and to promote company culture and a positive work environment.Develop strategies and protocols for managing a distributed workforce, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and alignment with organizational objectives.Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management on all HR-related matters, providing insights and recommendations to drive business performance.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field10+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources Business Partnering or equivalent experienceSPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, or SHRM-CP certification preferredMaster’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferredDemonstrated ability to partner with both senior leadership and business leaders to develop and execute HR strategies that align with business goalsExcellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with leadersStrong knowledge of HR compliance, employment laws, and regulationsProficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work independently and handle confidential information with discretionPosition is onsite in Dallas, TX with some potential travel as required by business need.Our CompanyMCR is the 3rd-largest hotel owner-operator in the United States.Founded in 2006, our company has offices in New York City, Dallas, Chicago, and Richmond, Virginia.MCR has a $5.0 billion portfolio of 148 premium-branded hotels containing more than 22,000 guestrooms across 37 states and 106 cities .MCR has more than 7,000 team members across the country and operates hotels under 9 Marriott brands, 8 Hilton brands and a number of unflagged independent hotels.MCR was named one of Fast Company ’s 10 Most Innovative Travel Companies of 2020 .MCR is a three-time recipient of the Marriott Partnership Circle Award , the highest honor Marriott presents to its owner and franchise partners, and a recipient of the Hilton Legacy Award for Top Performer .For the TWA Hotel at New York’s JFK Airport, MCR won the Development of the Year (Full Service) Award at The Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS) , the Urban Land Institute New York Excellence in Hotel Development Award and the American Institute of Architects national Architecture Award, the highest honor given by the AIAWhat we offer/What’s in it for you?Weekly PayPaid Time OffRetirement OptionsHealth, Dental, Vision Insurance- available after 30 days of employment for full-time team members
