The
Food and Beverage Supervisor
at the
Courtyard by Marriott North Charleston
will be responsible for supervising food and beverage operations and delivering an excellent guest experience. This person will maximize sales and revenue through customer satisfaction and team member engagement.
Responsibilities:Train workers in food preparation, and in service, sanitation, and safety proceduresCompile and balance cash receipts at the end of the day or shiftPerform various financial activities such as cash handling and deposit preparationSupervise and participate in kitchen and dining area cleaning activitiesResolve customer complaints regarding food serviceControl inventories of food, equipment, and liquor, and report shortagesRequisition supplies and equipment neededObserve and evaluate workers and work procedures to ensure quality standards, service and participate in disciplinary documentationsInspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure efficient service and standardsAssign duties, responsibilities, and workstations to team membersPerform personnel actions, such as hiring and firing staff, providing employee orientation and trainingConduct supervisory activities, such as creating work schedules or organizing employee time sheetsRecommend measures for improving work procedures and worker performance to increase service quality and enhance job safetyRecord production, operational, and personnel data on specified formsDevelop equipment maintenance schedules and arrange for repairsGreet and seat guests, and present menus and wine listsSchedule parties and take reservationsPresent bills and accept paymentsResolve customer complaints regarding food serviceRequirements:Experience in F&B required, experience in a hotel environment a plusMust be highly motivated, self-directed, with strong initiative and desire for achievementExceptional customer service skills requiredMust possess strong computer skillsExcellent communication and presentation skills requiredMust be a leader, a driver, and guest service orientedOur CompanyMCR is the
