Location: Hybrid (Culver City, CA 90232) (Subject otto change)Duration: 3 months contractPay rate: $45/hr - $60.15/hrJob Summary:The Financial Analyst position, under general guidance of Senior Financial Analyst or management is responsible for applying financial analytical techniques and methodologies to complex investment options and proposals to determine if investments exceed their cost of capital and other requirements. This position applies techniques such as internal rates of return, net present value, yield analysis, capital asset pricing, discounted cash flows, ratio analysis, cost of capital modelling, multivariate regressions, what-if scenarios, cash flow analysis, growth and trend analysis and other techniquesDEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: The Worldwide Distribution FP&A Analyst is a key member of the Worldwide Distribution FP&A team, primarily involved in consolidation and analysis of quarterly forecasts. This role will support the Consolidation line and drive value by providing global reporting and data analyses.RESPONSIBILITIES:Day-to-day support of the FP&A team with consolidation, analysis of the financial budgets and quarterly forecasts, and financial modelingConsolidate and analyze monthly financial operating results and variances to forecastConsolidate forecast submissions from global FP&A teams and review variance commentariesDiscern performance drivers in a complex industry using data and commercial insight from regional finance and sales planning teamsAssist with the preparation of quarterly forecast presentations and ad hoc analysesAid in development of global reporting, including dashboards to provide value-add insightsCollaborate with global FP&A, IT, and Commercial teams to optimize processesEnsure FP&A system is accurately updated. Maintain data versioning and develop new reports as neededQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors degree with emphasis on coursework of a quantitative nature, preferably Business, Finance, or Economics1+ year of experience in a highly analytical environment, preferably in FP&A/Strategic FinanceSkills:Proficient with Excel/Sheets and PowerPoint/Slides; Tableau knowledge is a plusExperience working with Planning tools (Hyperion Planning, PBCS, or Essbase)Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining complex financial data to non-financial stakeholdersStrong people skills, including the ability to work in a cross functional environment and communicate with various levels of the organizationStrong analytical skills and the ability to translate analyses into decisions and actionsExcellent time management, decision-making, and interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated with high standards and attention to detail, along with an excellent work ethicIndependent worker and able to manage multiple deliverables while being a team playerContinually searches for opportunities to improve internal processesProactive, self-starter and independent thinker, with strong ability to collaborate across teams
