Responsibilities:
As a Plant Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing a strategic plan to advance the company's mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an organization.
- Overseeing all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission of the company.
- Implementing strategies in alignment with strategic manufacturing planning.
- Ensuring production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner.
- Collaborating with quality control, warehouse, and other staff to implement cost-effective improvements to production processes.
- Managing and evaluating machine resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtime.
- Ensuring all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
- Overseeing the production planning, quality control, and project management.
- Ensuring safety and efficiency of the facility.
- Reporting to senior management on progress and any necessary modifications or improvements.
- Creating a positive and motivating environment, leading by example, and fostering a commitment to quality among all staff.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record in operations management, production planning, quality control, and project management.
- Strong knowledge of business strategy, strategic planning, and continuous improvement.
- An MBA or equivalent qualification in a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Word, MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience in the hardwood lumber industry.
- A minimum of 3 years of leadership experience, with a proven ability to manage and develop teams.
- Familiarity with state and local environmental regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Strong knowledge of industry's legal rules and guidelines, manufacturing and production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
