We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly analytical Plant Controller to join our vibrant team in the manufacturing industry. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the financial management of our operations, providing critical financial insights to drive business decisions. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial, accounting, and reporting activities at the plant level. This role requires a hands-on professional with a strong understanding of the manufacturing environment and an ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Plant Controller, your duties will include but are not limited to:

  1. Overseeing all plant-level financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  2. Developing and implementing robust financial systems and processes to enhance transparency and improve operational efficiency.
  3. Collaborating with plant management to formulate strategic and long-term business plans.
  4. Analyzing plant performance and variances, identifying trends, and providing recommendations for improvement.
  5. Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  6. Leading the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  7. Conducting internal audits to assess financial status and ensure adherence to standards.
  8. Providing leadership and support to the plant’s financial and non-financial staff.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree will be considered an advantage.
  2. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus.
  3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing or engineering industries.
  4. Strong knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.
  5. Well-developed financial analysis capabilities with a solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
  6. Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
  7. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerBI.
  8. Excellent strategic planning skills and able to interact with all levels.
  9. Able to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
  10. Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
