Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Controller to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position for a financial professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively manage financial responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, budgeting, and forecasting, with a proven ability to conduct audits, financial analysis, and cost accounting. Knowledge of SAP is a must. The Plant Controller will play a critical role in strategic decision making and operations as they navigate the complex financial challenges of a global manufacturing organization.

Responsibilities:

As a Plant Controller, you will be responsible for the following:

  1. Developing and maintaining financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
  2. Overseeing the production of monthly reports, financial statements, and cash flow projections for use by the executive management team.
  3. Creating annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with the plant management team.
  4. Leading the financial analysis of the plant operations to identify areas of potential cost reduction and profit improvement.
  5. Managing the audits of the plant's financial activities to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  6. Providing strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the plant.
  7. Collaborating with the plant management team to develop and execute the plant's strategy and business plan.
  8. Implementing and managing cost accounting processes and systems to accurately reflect the cost structure of the plant.
  9. Ensuring accurate and timely reporting of all monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial information.
  10. Supervising the use of SAP and other financial systems within the plant to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Plant Controller position should possess the following qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or relevant certification (such as CMA, CPA) is highly desirable.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
  3. Strong knowledge of manufacturing, budgeting, and forecasting.
  4. Proven experience in conducting audits, financial analysis, and cost accounting.
  5. Proficiency in SAP and other financial software.
  6. Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and execution skills.
  7. Strong leadership qualities and the ability to work in a team environment.
  8. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  9. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  10. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
