Our company is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and forward-thinking Permanent Plant Controller to join our Engineering team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our financial planning and decision-making processes, helping to drive our company's financial strategy and hiring needs. This role requires a deep understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and process improvement. If you have a passion for numbers, a firm grasp of accounting and financial practices, and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

As a Plant Controller, you will be expected to:

  1. Oversee all financial operations of the plant, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  2. Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's overall goals.
  3. Conduct regular financial analysis, prepare detailed reports, and present findings to senior management.
  4. Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, implementing new technologies and methodologies as needed.
  5. Work closely with manufacturing teams to understand cost drivers and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  6. Maintain the integrity of financial data by ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  7. Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes, improve productivity, and drive business growth.
  8. Lead the implementation and management of ERP systems, specifically CloudSuite and SyteLine.
  9. Manage financial risk, forecast long-term financial trends, and oversee the company's financial systems and policies.
  10. Provide leadership and support to the finance and accounting teams, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  1. A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Engineering or Manufacturing industry.
  3. Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and process improvement.
  4. Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and the ability to understand the financial implications of operational decisions.
  5. Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly CloudSuite and SyteLine.
  6. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic approach to challenges.
  8. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in an understandable way.
  9. A professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is considered a strong asset.
  10. A high level of integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
