Job Details:
As a Permanent RF Payload Engineer, you will be a crucial member of our dynamic team, playing a pivotal role in the design and development of advanced electronic systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the Engineering industry. You will be working on a variety of projects, including but not limited to, the development of advanced RF payloads, electronic warfare systems, and microprocessor-based systems. This role requires a high degree of technical competence and creativity, as well as a strong understanding of the principles and practices of RF engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test RF payloads and other electronic systems, ensuring they meet all technical requirements and performance standards.
- Conduct system-level design and analysis, including RF link budget analysis and system trade studies.
- Develop and implement test plans for RF payloads and other electronic systems, using tools such as UVM, RTL, and DO 178.
- Use oscilloscopes and other test equipment to troubleshoot and debug electronic systems.
- Work closely with other engineering teams to integrate RF payloads into larger systems, ensuring seamless interoperability.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for electronic systems, in accordance with IEC 61508 and other relevant standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electronic warfare strategies and technologies, and incorporate this knowledge into the design and development of RF payloads.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with TSI Clearance requirements and other relevant security protocols.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or higher is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in RF engineering, with a focus on payload design and development.
- Proven experience with UVM, RTL, and DO 178 is essential.
- Strong practical skills, with experience using oscilloscopes and other test equipment.
- Familiarity with microprocessors and their application in electronic systems.
- Knowledge of IEC 61508 and its application in risk assessment and mitigation.
- Experience with electronic warfare strategies and technologies is highly desirable.
- TSI Clearance, or the ability to obtain it, is a must.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and innovatively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
