Salary: $175,000 - $250,000 per year

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Managing Principal to join our dynamic firm. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned tax professional who is passionate about providing strategic tax planning and consulting services to high net worth individuals and corporations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 20, managing client relationships, providing tax advisory services, and overseeing the execution of tax strategies. This position requires a deep understanding of federal and state tax laws, income tax, gift tax, and tax planning for corporations and S corps.

A people manager is preferred for this role!!!

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for high net worth clients and maintain strong relationships through excellent client service.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive tax planning strategies for clients to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax advantages.
  • Provide expert advice on federal and state tax laws, income tax, gift tax, and tax planning for corporations and S corps.
  • Review and analyze complex tax returns and financial statements to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to provide integrated financial solutions and services.
  • Keep abreast of latest developments in tax laws and regulations and provide timely updates to clients and team members.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop junior staff members to enhance their professional growth and contribution to the team.
  • Participate in business development activities to expand the client base and increase revenue.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax planning and consulting for high net worth individuals and corporations.
  • Proven expertise in federal and state tax laws, income tax, gift tax, and tax planning for corporations and S corps.
  • Strong client relationship management skills with a focus on providing exceptional client service.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven track record of mentoring and developing staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
