The Rogosin Institute is a not-for-profit medical care and research organization affiliated with NewYork Presbyterian Hospital and Weill Cornell Medicine. Rogosin is one of the premier centers for the diagnosis and management of kidney disease in the country. The Institute also treats patients with diabetes, hypertension, lipid disorders and conducts research in these areas.
The Research Department at The Rogosin Institute is seeking an experienced Senior Grants & Contracts Administrator who will be responsible for coordinating and administers grants and research contracts from proposal review and submission, through post-award grant management, reporting and closure. Serves as the point-of-contact and resource to staff for all grant and research contract pre- and post-award activities.
Job duties:
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge and expertise in federal, state and other agencies’ regulations and policies, and stays abreast of new laws and OMB circulars which affect grants and contracts program activities
- Oversees and coordinates pre-award activities:
Ø Reviews any terms and conditions associated with proposal solicitations
Ø Oversees the organization and preparation of all components of grant and contract applications and ensures timely submissions
Ø Works with investigators to manage budgeting process of grants and contracts and assists in general budget development and implementation.
Ø Drafts non-disclosure agreements and sub-award agreements
Ø Reviews agreements and sub-awards and assists with negotiating appropriate terms and conditions
- Oversees and coordinates post award responsibilities:
Ø Reviews final award documents prior to the establishment of accounts
Ø Reviews and/or drafting modifications to changes in grant contract documents
Ø Ensures that awards encompass required research compliance requirements including IBC, IACUC and IRB
Ø Monitors agreements for compliance with contractual requirements
Ø Monitors appropriateness of expenditures on awards and sub-awards
Ø Works with the finance department to provide on-going financial oversight of grants and contracts including but not limited to tracking of funds, evaluating expenditures, forecasting, preparation and submission of financial reports
Ø Corresponds with sponsors and sub-recipients regarding administrative and budgeting issues
Ø Processes modifications to existing agreements
Ø Assists investigators with the preparation and submission of progress and final reports
Ø Maintains, tracks and updates effort tracking to ensure compliance with time & effort policies
Ø Closes out awards and sub-awards
Ø Ensures compliance with granting agencies
Ø Assists with preparation of reports for audits
