Certification Details REQUIRED Certifications: ACLS, BCLS and NIH. Job Details RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR. Ratios: 1:5-6. Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the Unit through the Holidays 36 Hours can be Offered 12 HR NIGHTS PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Pre/Post Cath, Pre/Post PPM & AICD, Watchmen Procedures, Stress Tests, Management of Arterial & Venous sheaths, TIA population, Carotid Stent Patient Management, Card-Tele, Management of Arrhythmias, Management of cardiac drips: Cardizem, Amiodarone, Renal Dose Dopamine, Lasix Drips, and non-titrating Nitro Drips for stable CP, NSTEMI Patients. SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: CPPU is a 24 bed inpatient cardiac procedural unit housing cardiac telemetry along with pre and post cardiac procedural patients. Average length of stay is 1.8-2.4 days in length. There is rapid patient turnover on the unit, daily. There is an ADT (Admission, Discharge, Transfer) nurse available on the unit Monday-Friday during peak patient transition times. Job Requirements Minimum Experience Required: 1 Year of Experience. Will take first time travelers: Unit WILL Accept 1st Time Travelers REQUIRED Skills: IV Start and Telemetry. Schedule Information FLOATING IS REQUIRED AS NEEDED to similar units. REQUIRED Weekends: 4 weekend shifts per each 6 week schedule . Any absences have to be made up at the end of the contract and cannot be made up as an OT day. If nurse calls out on a weekend shift, they will have to automatically make another weekend shift up at the manager’s discretion per the 2020 policy. Unit cannot promise a block schedule at any time. Will do their best to accommodate requests, but at this time, are not able to assure that a block schedule can be secured.
