Site Safety Manager

for an 18-24 month solar farm project with our Civil Infrastructure Group in Pulaski, Illinois.Primary Responsibilities:Ensure contractor compliance with client-specific contractor safety guidelines.Work/be proficient in construction project tools such as/similar to ProCore to ensure contractor compliance.Work/be proficient in MS Office Suite of tools.Co-Create/Co-Lead Project Safety Council.Ensure contractor safety records (qualifications/certifications etc.) for project are maintained as required.Provide necessary client specific onboarding as required.Ensure client contractor safety training is complete.Develop/assign safety training per functional duty.Ensure contractor site specific safety plans and supporting documents are complete.Perform regular safety audits of contractor work in the field.Perform regular safety walks with contractor leadership in field.Lead and/or attend project safety meetings as required.Ensure client incident reporting and investigation protocol is followed.Minimum Qualifications:Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or similar/related field is strongly preferred.In lieu of a degree, an STS, CHST, ASP, or CSP certification is required.Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree or certifications pending type of experience and other education.Minimum three (3) years experience in the field where construction (and contractor) safety management duties comprised 90-100% of your time.History of managing contractors on a project is strongly desired.Excellent situational awareness in field with ability to recognize hazards, evaluate risk, and implement appropriate controls in varying environments.Knowledgeable in the development, implementation, and review of site-specific safety plans.Track record of achieving safety solutions with teams of varied trades and backgrounds to achieve common goals.Comfortable presenting training in or out of a formal setting (i.e. spot training in field) and able to perform stand up/downs for safety in a large group as needed.Familiar with utilizing a team approach to problem solving when required.Experience supporting project teams involved in OSHA or other regulatory agency inspections and audit situations.Well versed in Stop Work Authority and solution-based approach.Incident investigation root cause analysis process.All candidates agree to complete an assessment for selection and pre-employment drug screen.EOE/AA M/F/Disabled/Vet
