Job Summary:
The Vocational Assistant Director plays a crucial role in supporting the Vocational Director in overseeing the agency's vocational programs. This position is responsible for managing vocational staff, monitoring program operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing quality services to individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Management:
Directly supervise 3 Vocational Site Coordinators; Co-supervise residential staff during vocational activities.
Assign staff to appropriate vocational programs.
Monitor staff performance and provide feedback.
Address staff concerns and issues promptly.
Program Oversight:
Monitor the performance of vocational programs to ensure they meet goals and objectives.
Identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
Collaborate with community partners to secure new work contracts and opportunities.
Review and analyze program data to assess effectiveness.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all vocational programs comply with federal, state, and accreditation standards.
Implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify and address any non-compliance issues.
Quality Assurance:
Oversee the quality of services provided to individuals in vocational programs.
Ensure that individual needs are met and appropriate supports are in place.
Monitor client outcomes and satisfaction levels.
Emergency Management:
Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans for vocational programs.
Coordinate emergency response efforts when necessary.
Ensure staff are trained in emergency procedures.
Community Engagement:
Represent the agency in community meetings and events.
Build relationships with local businesses and organizations.
Advocate for the needs of individuals served by the agency.
Administrative Tasks:
Prepare and submit required reports and documentation.
Manage budgets and financial resources for vocational programs.
Coordinate staff meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Rehabilitation, or a related field
or
at least 4 years of experience in vocational rehabilitation or a similar field.
Supervisory or management experience required.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities.
Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to vocational rehabilitation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be 21 or older with a valid, unrestricted State of Oklahoma Driver's License.
