As an RN Women's Center you will assess, plan, perform, document, and evaluate professional independent nursing practice at Lakeview Hospital; to provide work direction for and oversight of the nursing care provided by unlicensed personnel; to perform and document functions such as carrying out the provider's medical orders; to assist providers with diagnostic and treatment procedures; to provide a safe and therapeutic environment; to coordinate, communicate, interpret, and explain patient care services to the patient, his/her family, health professionals and important others; to perform related duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: 0.6 FTE. Night shift. 8-hour shifts, includes every third weekend.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Nursing.
  • Registered nurses re-entering the nursing field, who have not completed 520 hours of nursing practice in the past four (4) years must successfully complete a recognized refresher course to qualify for employment. Written information of certification validating successful completion of a refresher course must be provided before employment.
  • Licensed as a RN by Minnesota Board of Nursing or has a Wisconsin RN License and Minnesota Boarder State Registry
  • Current BLS - American Heart Association or BLS - American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider)
  • STABLE required within 1 year of start date
  • NRP required within 6 months of start date
  • Fetal Hearth Monitoring Course:
    • Completion of FHRM course within 6 months of start date, or
    • Those with L&D experience completion of competency validation

  • Minimum of 1 year RN experience in L&D or Special Care Nursery

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Baccalaureate or Master's degree in Nursing
  • Associate Degree prepared nurses enrolled in Baccalaureate in Nursing program
