ICU stepdown. Post rapid response team patients, respiratory distress, unstable hemodynamics, withdrawal, GI bleeds, post-op: GYN, GU, GI, thoracotomies, neuro, ortho surgeries. Pre/post OB with complications (Pitocin).Patient age from adolescent, adult, geriatric.Special procedures/unit details: Only one pressor drip per patient, any more and they're transferred to ICU. Cardizem, Nitro, Precedex, Cardene, Levophed, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Neo drips given on unit.Special equipment needed: Bedside telemetry monitors with remote backup, A-lines, BIPAP's, chest tubes, trachs. No vents on unit.Unit systems in use: Pyxis and Epic.SCRUBS: Navy, White or a combination of the two.Internal Notes: Hospital Orientation week one; traveler must be available for classes each day.Must pass EKG Testing prior to the start for this specialty.Job Requirements
