The consultant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. In addition to being responsible for month-end general ledger close activities, including, but not limited to, monthly accounting journal entries and general ledger account reconciliation, as well as quarterly home office reporting and half-year and year-end financial reporting duties.Client DetailsA reputable international Financial Services group.DescriptionAssist in preparing and filing quarterly reportsContribute to the preparation of annual financial statement footnotes for the US Broker Dealer.Support the month-end closing process, including product-specific accounting adjustments and manual modifications to the general ledger.Help prepare and update detailed procedures for Corporate Accounting closing and reporting activities.Provide documentation to external auditors and assist in promptly resolving any audit issues.Prepare month-end reconciliations in the Blackline tool for balance substantiation, and help enhance the functionality of the process and tool as needed.Assist in generating the daily balance sheet.Conduct analysis of accounting issues as required.Support daily general ledger processing.Profile3-6 years of Corporate Accounting experienceBachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance is preferred.Previous experience with head office/consolidation tasks is preferred.Experience in booking journal entries and working with the general ledger is preferred.Familiarity with reporting financial instrument footnotes is preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills.A solid understanding of sub-ledger to general ledger flows, products, consolidation reporting, and financial reporting is a plus.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.Job OfferOpportunity for long term employmentOpportunity to work with a global Financial Service InstitutionHealth Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision)Competitive Pay RatesHybrid Working ModelMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
