Creative Financial Staffing has been exclusively retained by a growing professional services company to identify a Controller to join their team. This role will have hands-on responsibility for the daily operations of the accounting/finance function. It is a high-impact opportunity focused on creating and implementing process improvements and putting systems in place to scale for growth.

Overview of the Controller position:

  • Lead the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
  • Manage accounting activities, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and reconciliations
  • Collaborate with senior management to drive financial performance and strategic decision-making
  • Supervise and mentor a dynamic team of accounting professionals

Preferred Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity
  • Must have hands-on experience working in an accounting and financial management function in a high growth company.
  • Experience establishing and implementing process improvement initiatives within a high growth environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and financial analysis
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and a proactive approach
