Job Title: AP Accountant
Location: 100% Onsite, Fort Collins, Northern Colorado
Job Overview: Our client is looking for a dedicated AP Accountant to assist with a crucial transition period. This is a 100% onsite role in Fort Collins, and candidates must be local to Northern Colorado. The AP Accountant will manage full-cycle accounts payable and handle excise tax reporting. This role is ideal for an AP Accountant with experience managing a high volume of invoices and who thrives in a collaborative, business-casual environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full-Cycle AP Management: The AP Accountant will manage the AP inbox and process 300-400 invoices per month, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Invoice Processing: As an AP Accountant, you'll conduct 3-way matching to purchase orders, code invoices, and prepare for weekly check runs.
- Approval and Payment Management: AP Accountant will ensure proper approvals are obtained. You'll also be responsible for entering wires and setting up payments accurately.
- Excise Tax Management: The AP Accountant will handle excise tax entries for 30+ states from the 1st to the 10th of the month.
- Software: The AP Accountant will process invoices using NetSuite, then transition to Tipalti once implemented
- Additional AR Support: Depending on workload, the AP Accountant may assist with entering sales invoices and providing light AR support.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- Proven experience as an AP Accountant handling full-cycle accounts payable.
- Familiarity with NetSuite and Tipalti, or similar platforms like Bill.com or Beanworks.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage a high volume of invoices efficiently.
- Preferred:
- AP Accountant experience in a manufacturing or inventory environment, with knowledge of WIP and production processes.
- Basic Excel skills, including data management and report generation.
