I'm partnered with a high growth, family owned privately held manufacturer of industrial products looking to bring on a Senior Accountant to their team! With over 125+ years of experience in the industry they cater to all the big name players in their niche and are growing consistently through acquisitions!
Reporting directly to the Controller, you will have the opportunity to make a direct impact within the department and put your stamp within the role. You ill have the opportunity to assist the Controller in the annual budgeting process and partake in financial analysis to make financial suggestions to drive business!
Job Description
Execute month-end closing procedures, encompassing journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliations.Document intercompany transactions and oversee intercompany cost allocations, requiring proficiency in intercompany analytics and reporting.Generate monthly manufacturing variance reports and conduct thorough analysis of outcomes.Compile monthly Financial Statements for evaluation by the CFO and Controller, incorporating various ad hoc operational reports.Scrutinize and assess manufacturing Bill of Materials, standard and average costs, and monthly cost variances within the ERP system, collaborating closely with operations and the shop floor to resolve any issues.Analyze the monthly trial balance and furnish reports to Divisional Presidents.Prepare annual LIFO inventory valuation reports and reconcile them with the General Ledger.Ensure the accuracy of monthly inventory cycle counts and lead year-end inventory observations and test counts with external auditors.
