We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Head of Finance to join our team at Authorium. This individual will be responsible for a wide range of financial duties including financial modeling, financial projections, and financial analysis. Additionally, the role encompasses responsibilities in financial accounting, planning, and reporting, ensuring the company's financial operations align with our strategic goals.

This is a hybrid role so candidates must reside in the San Francisco Bay Area and be willing to come to the office 50% of the time.

ResponsibilitiesFinancial Strategy and Decision Support:

Provide strategic guidance to the Co-CEOs and executive team on financial matters to support key business decisions including pricing strategies, expansion plans, and investment opportunities

Conduct financial analysis and scenario planning to assess the financial implications of strategic initiatives and potential risks

Financial Planning and Analysis:

Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for all Business Units - including Revenue, Product, and Client Success

Conduct scenario analysis to assess the impact of strategic initiatives

Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency

Monthly and Quarterly Financial Reporting:

Prepare accurate and timely monthly and quarterly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, for review by the board and key stakeholders with the aid of our Sr. Accountant

Provide detailed analysis and insights on financial performance, variances, and key metrics to support decision-making

Risk & Compliance Management:

Assess and manage financial risks, implementing effective risk mitigation strategies

Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax obligations and reporting requirements

Team Leadership:

Develop and mentor finance team members to enhance their skills and contribute to organizational success

Collaboration:

Collaborate with other executive team members to ensure alignment between financial strategies and overall business objectives

Work closely with departments such as operations, technology, and marketing to facilitate cross-functional collaboration

Board Reporting and Communication:

Prepare comprehensive board reporting packages, including financial reports, analysis, and strategic updates, for monthly and quarterly board meetings

Present financial updates and insights to the board, responding to questions and providing recommendations as needed

Financial Systems and Technology Proficiency:

Demonstrated experience in financial management software or systems, with a preference for candidates experienced in financial modeling tools, and analytics platforms

Ability to leverage technology to enhance financial operations, data analysis, and decision-making processes

Internal Controls and Audit:

Responsible for establishing and maintaining robust internal controls to ensure the integrity of the company's financial transactions and reporting

Coordination with external auditors for annual audits, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and practices

Capital Structure and Financial Policies:

Manage the company's capital structure, including debt and equity financing, to optimize financial strategy and shareholder value

Develop and oversee financial policies and procedures to support operational efficiency and financial discipline

Strategic Partnerships and M&A Activities:

Involved in evaluating and executing mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, or strategic partnerships, including due diligence and integration planning

Requirements

Candidates must be located in the San Francisco Bay Area

Proven experience as a Head of Finance or in a senior financial leadership role

Experience in overseeing day to day financial operations within a tech or SaaS environment

Strong strategic and analytical skills with the ability to make sound financial decisions

Demonstrated success in fundraising and managing investor relations

Exceptional analytical skills and strategic thinking ability

Ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner

CPA or MBA in Finance is preferred

Benefits

Salary Range: $172,000 - $200,000
