The VA Pacific Islands Health Care System provides access to patient care to over 130,000 veterans across a 2.6M square mile area of the Pacific Ocean. Remote island locations, separated by great distances of ocean, is the environment in which the VAPIHCS delivers a full range of comprehensive health care services. The VAPIHCS operates seven community-based outpatient clinics (CBOCs) covering seven county areas. These outpatient clinics are in America Samoa, Guam, Hilo, Kauai, Kona, Leeward, and Maui. VAPIHCS is a Level 2 facility within the VA Sierra Pacific Network (VISN 21).This position is in the Primary Care Service of VAPIHCS. The position reports to and provides support to the Associate Chief of Staff (ACOS) of Primary Care, in carrying out the mission of the service and VA Medical Center. The Primary Care Deputy Associate Chief of Staff will serve as a direct supervisor to the Primary Care Mental Health Integration Section Chief, Pain Management physician, TES Navigator Director, Women's Health Director, and the Employee and Occupational Health Director.Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Collaborates with other service lines and periodically with other VA Medical Centers.Supports compliance with various oversight administrative and clinical entities.Anticipates clinical, teaching, and administrative contributions, the proportions fluctuating in response to service needs.Responsible for the assessment of the health delivery system, as well as developing a plan for delivery of health services to patients, consistent with the policies and guidelines of the Veterans' Health Administration.Establishes a climate within the Primary Care Service that promotes optimum patient care.Participates in top-level decisions and policy designs that affect Medical Service through collaboration with Medical Center administration, other service chiefs, and programs, delegating authorities, and responsibilities to meet both the medical center and service goals.Work Schedule:

7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through FridayPay:
